Change Management

Definition: Change Management is an approach consisting of a number of methods to shift/transition organizations from a current state to a desired (future) state.
It is also an organizational process aimed at helping change stakeholders to accept and embrace changes in their business environment.
CM is typically based on one of 6 change approaches, depending on presence of change forces, and takes place in a sequence of change phases. Includes both preventing and managing resistance to change. Requires consideration of certain change factors. Changes of success can be estimated via change equation.
Also called: Implementation Management.
