Organization Chart

   

Definition: an Organization Chart is a visual representation of the formal organizational structure of an organization.
It is a diagram that shows at a glance the formal hierarchy, roles and responsibilities, functions and relations between people within an organization.
It gives an insight in the levels of decision making and formal information flows.
In a large organization it is usually split into smaller charts for separate departments.
Some main types of OCs are:
- Hierarchical Organization chart
- Functional Organization chart
- Matrix Organization chart
