Silo Mentality

Definition: Silo Mentality is a situation of lacking internal collaboration in a company or government institution. More specifically it is a prevailing mindset or organizational culture in which certain divisions, departments, or units are reluctant or unwilling to collaborate, communicate, and share information with other entities in that same organization.
A silo mentality destroys trust, cuts off communication and fosters complacency.
