Children Missing Education

   

Definition: CME Children Missing Education is ... everyone's responsibility

CME is defined as someone of compulsory school age who is not on a school roll, not being otherwise educated such as, educated at home, in an independent school or in alternative provision.

It could also be a child who has been out of any educational provision for four weeks or more and after reasonable enquiries still cannot be located.
