Definition: Corporate Sustainability is a business philosophy that encompasses strategies and practices to create long-term shareholder, consumer and employee value, meeting the needs of stakeholders today while protecting and enhancing the human and natural resources needed in the future.
CS emphasizes that companies should have a long-term perspective towards reconciliation of the environment, social capital, human capital, their business model and innovation and leadership and corporate governance, while of course being economically viable.
