Learning Organization

Definition: a Learning Organization is an organization that actively creates, captures, transfers, and mobilizes individual and group knowledge to enable it to adapt to a changing environment.
It is a practical approach to organizational learning as described well by Peter Senge in his book The Fifth Discipline. According to Senge a LO uses 5 disciplines:
1. Personal Mastery
2. Mental Models
3. Building Shared Vision
4. Team Learning
5. Systems Thinking (the integrating 5th discipline)
