Flowchart

Definition: a Flowchart is a diagram that represents a process or an algorithm, showing the steps as boxes of various kinds, and their order by connecting them with arrows.
Fs are used in analyzing, designing, documenting or managing business processes (or any other kind).
They help visualize and give an overview of what is going on and thereby help the viewer to understand a process, and perhaps also find flaws, bottlenecks, and other less-obvious features within it.
Also called: process chart, process diagram or process map.
