Definition: Belbin Team Roles is a team composition and team building model that can be used to describe and gain insight into the behavior of one team member in relationship to another. The Belbin Inventory scores people on how strongly they express traits from 9 different Team Roles:
Action-oriented roles:
1. Shaper
2. Implementer
3. Completer (Finisher)
People-oriented roles:
4. Chairman (Co-ordinator)
5. Teamworker
6. Resource Investigator
Cerebral (thinking/problem solving)-oriented roles:
7. Plant
8. Monitor (Evaluator)
9. Specialist
