Definition: Management is the art, science and practice of getting things done through people and resources. It involves coordinating efforts to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources in an efficient and effective way.
Management comprises forecasting, planning, organizing, leading, directing, coordinating and controlling an organization or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. Managing encompasses the deployment and manipulation of human, financial, technological, and natural resources.
The term is also used as a collective word describing the (top) managers of an organization.
