Fallacy

Definition: a Fallacy is a false notion, or incorrect, flawed reasoning in arguments, decision making or problem solving.
Also called fallacious reasoning.
Two types exist:
- A formal fallacy occurs when there is a problem with the form, or structure, of the argument. An argument that contains a formal fallacy will always be invalid.
- An informal fallacy occurs when there is a problem with the content, rather than the structure of the argument.
