Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument

   

Definition: the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument is a personality type assessment to measure and describe the dominant thinking preferences in people, developed by William "Ned" Herrmann.
In his Whole Brain model, Herrmann identified four different modes of thinking:
1. Analytical thinking
2. Sequential thinking
3. Interpersonal thinking
4. Imaginative thinking
HBDI is comparable to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and DISC Assessment and is applied in mentoring, group dynamics, leadership development, market segmentation, etc
