The main purpose of an EI is to assess the issues or reasons that made the employee decide to leave the organization. But also it can be used as an instrument to assess what the employee valued while at the organization, and what aspects of the organization (s)he believes need improvement in order to increase employee motivation, performance and employee loyalty and decrease employee turnover.
